Grateful for our Veterans

If you have never been to war (like me), you have no idea the mental and physical toll it takes on a soldier and his family.

This year I have read two books about war: Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand and Two Wars by Nate Self. They have opened my eyes to the battle that goes on at war and when soldiers come home. For most soldiers the battle has just begun when they finish their tour of duty, coming home is as great a battle as being on the front lines.

So today I am grateful for the men and women who are living courageously whether at war or back from war. May your sacrifice not be forgotten.
