Guest Blog Post: Ways to pray for college students by Mark Wopata

Many high school grads have left their families to go to the strange and magical world known as “college”.  And while college can be one of life’s greatest experiences, it can also be incredibly lonely.  Until now, many of the Christians heading off to their first year of college have simply existed in Christian fellowship.  They’ve had their biological and church families to provide the support they need.  Now, in many ways, they are starting from square one.

My prayer for college freshman (and all college students) is . . .

1. They will quickly be surrounded by friends and a church family who love Christ faithfully and love them well.

2. These new friends and family members in Christ will seek each other out and provide the friendship, support, and community that every Christian needs.

3. They will see life and community in Christ in deeper and truer ways than they could ever hoped for.

I encourage you to do the same.
