This week I watched Kevin Durant receive his first NBA MVP trophy. He is one of my favorite NBA players to watch play the game. As he gave his acceptance speech, he ends by honoring his Mom calling her the “The Real MVP”. (Watch it here)
And he is right!!! Mom is the Real MVP!
But I know sometimes Mom’s don’t feel like an MVP but more like the janitor, short order chef and chauffeur.
I want you to know today that you are so much more than what you do. You are “the real MVP” because of who you are in Christ . . .
Loved – Ephesians 2:4
Alive – Ephesians 2:5
Powerful – Ephesians 2:6
Honored – Ephesians 2:7
Saved – Ephesians 2:8
Free from Performance – Ephesians 2:9
God’s Poetry – Ephesians 2:10
This is what makes you “The Real MVP”! So on the days you feel like the least valuable player in the family, remember that all your kids need from you is to embrace who you are in Christ and live from that reality!
Happy Mother’s Day!
